My background is in computer consulting. I still do this. I enjoy solving problems
One of the most common problems I solve is removing viruses and spyware. It's really unbelievable how spyware can bring a fast system to a crawl.
If you are a computer type, looking for a great way to make extra income, this might be for you.
I currently offer an ebook, plus my support. Here: Virus Removal Business

I know I should post on this site more frequently. I simply do not want to put low quality filler on this site.
It's very difficult for me to get motivated enough to generate frequent articles. I imagine many people have the same problem.
The truth is, the more unique content you have on a site, the more things the search engines will find andthe more free visitors you will get.
The best way is to send an email to help@(thissite).
I do not want any spam. That's why I am approving authors manually.

I mentioned a couple of days ago that the absolute best way to get quality traffic is to create a website with good, interesting contest that you personally create (Rather than using some software to generate a site automatically).
I want to clarify that.
I think that in the long run, the good, content rich site with have staying power, visitor loyalty, higher search engine rankings, etc. That's why you should create sites that are about things that you are truly interested in. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try other methods to get quality traffic, which will result in more income.
Some of the "guru" recommended offers are very good. Some are very expensive.
I know that many people actually enjoy trying some new technique for making money on the net. It's kind of like placing a bet.
I know that money can be made, for example, using adwords (pay-per-click) and clickbank products. But it is getting more difficult to make a profit, because of the new google regulations. Many people have written books on this subject. (I'm one of them).
Just in the past couple of days, there are two new software products being released to help boost profits with this technique.
An interesting thought: Both of these products are designed to find profitable keywords on google, along with finding profitable products to market. This allows you to know what products and keywords are sucessful, before you invest a dime in advertising. The problem I see is that everyone, their mama and their brother will be fighting for the same keywords, which will drive the price up.

A couple of days ago, I opened an email from one of the gurus promoting one of The Rich Jerk's latest products. There was a link to a site with a free sample video of a technique he uses to generate sales for free.
The video told this was a "Black Hat" technique. It made me wonder how it could be legal.
The first thing you do is set up an email on Yahoo, using a ficticious name. Then you place an ad on a high volume, free classified site saying you are giving away a free, pure-bred puppy, because you are moving out of the country.
You don't have a puppy and you are not moving anywhere. This smells like fraud.
In the ad, you put your brand new email. In Yahoo mail, you set it up so that you have an autoresponder, by telling the site to send a "vacation message". The message says something like: "I have a ton of reponses for the puppy and it will take me a while to dicide who to give it to. I have been training the dog with this great course I downloaded. I have used this course to train several other dogs , also. If you want to continue his training, or would like to learn a great way to train your other dogs, GO HERE.
The link goes to a dog training course on Clickbank.
In the few minutes it took to show the technique, he had already received three responses to the ad. Apparently it is going to work.
There is no question in my mind that salesmen thoughout history, have used many fraudulent techniques to market a variety of products. Magazine salesman and telemarketers come to my mind first.
But they didn't confess to using fraud in a video on the Internet.

One great way to make an income on the net is to write an eBook and sell it on Clickbank.
EBooks generally come in two forms: An .exe or .pdf. PDF (portable document format) can be read on any computer (macs, linux, windows, etc. An .exe format book will only work with windows.
If you just want to write a book, there are many free pdf compilers, but they have one major drawback. Most of them do not allow you to place hyperlinks in the book, so that you can refer people to a site, for example to sell something. The links can also be used for email.
Adobe Acrobat does allow you to add hyperlinks, but it is quite expensive. Almost all of the free software that generates PDF's have upgrades you can purchase to add this functionality.
The one product that I know of that allows hyperlinks and is also totally free is Open Office. It is a package, similar to Microsoft Office. When you are in the word processor, there is a button to convert the document to PDF format.
The only problem is that this is a huge download. If you don't have a high-speed internet connection, it probably will take DAYS. The do have links on the site to purchase a CD really cheap. Or, just go somewhere that does have high speed internet and download it there. Bring a 1 gig jump drive with you (I think it's over 600 megs).
Once you write your book, you can market it on Clickbank and even have affiliates sell it for you.
The links:

If you've benn around for a while, you already know that these "paid to read" sites don't make you enough money to support bacteria, let alone a human being. Most don't really pay anything at all, by the time you satisfy their requirements.
However, you can make a few extra bucks by answering surveys, if you know which sites to sign up for and which to avoid. It's not a big deal. We're ususally talking about getting somwhere between 3 to 5 dollars per survey, plus maybe a chance to win more on some sites. Personally, I would be suspicious of sites that claim you can earn big bucks doing this, but you can maybe pay for a dinner for two every once in a while.
A site that lists and rates several good (legitimate) survey sites is: Paid Survey Reviews. All have free signup. Most of them don't send "special offers" (spam).

One of the biggest wastes of time and bandwidth on the planet is any site that makes you stare at page after page of various offers in exchange for showing your ads. There called autosurf programs.
Not only is it a miracle if anyone buys a product advertised on the sites, it's probably a miracle if anyone even sees the ad.
Here's how they work: Let's say you want to try to sell a product with free advertising. A site called morevisitorsthanyoucanstand.com offers to let you place a link to your sales page in their queue if you just autosurf for a while.
Their site shows you one site after another, lasting up to 30 seconds, before the next site is shown. Since you will get bored with this quickly, you go bowling, watch a movie, minimize the window, whatever..... You don't look at the screen like they want you to.
The trick is, no one with more than 3 living brain cells would stare at screen after screen of random offers. No one.
So no one will buy. It's a waste of your time.
To make matters worse, if you show these visitors directly to the sales page (through an affiliate link) you waste valuable bandwidth that the poor sap selling the product pays for.
Most people who recruit affiliates do not even consider keeping you around if you send this low quality, crap traffic.
There are lots of ways to get traffic that work. Don't waste your time with autosurf.
I have seen many methods for instantly setting up websites and generating traffic. Most of them bother me.
You see, when I'm browsing the web, I don't like to go to a site that is useless. I, as an internet user want to find the information I'm looking for as quickly and easily as possible. The search engines want it to be that way, also.
When someone sets up a cookbook site that contains useless or low quality content, they may fool the search engine spiders for a while, but if the spiders get smarter (and they always do..), the sites are eventually listed way down in the rankings.
My preferred method of getting visitors to a site is provide something unique and interesting.
One good example of this is by a guy named Albert Grande. If I remember correctly, he lives in Hawaii.
He has a site: PizzaTherapy.com.
He provides information on how to make good Pizza. I may be prejudiced, because I really like Pizza (And sometimes make my own), but this is an excellent example of what I'm getting at. He gets visitors to his site, many of which are looking for pizza recipes. But he also is an expert on internet marketing.
He gets visitors by offering quality content. Some of the visitors click on ads. Some of them join his mailing list.
Over time he has built up a large, quality list. He doesn't abuse it. I have gotten many valuable tips from him. He gives a lot of free advice.
And he gets his visitors for free from the search engines. As a side note, you will notice that the focus is on content, not making the site pretty. (No offense, Albert)
If you have a subject you are interested in, use it to build a web site. Keep adding quality content. After a while, more and more people will stop by. Some of them will click on ads. Some of them will buy.
If you want to try some of these "get rich quick" schemes, go ahead. But remember the tortise and the hare...
Welcome:
My name is Frederick Roth. I have been working with computers since the stone age. For the last maybe six or seven years, one of the things I've been doing is affiliate marketing.
I have dowloaded and read many courses from various Gurus. Some are better than others.
Affiliate marketing is a legitimate way to make a living from home, the beach, the bathtub, or the moon. In other words, it's one of the few occupations you can do that is almost completely location independent.
Because one of the best ways to make money on the internet is to sell information to other people trying to make money on the net, there are more guru's out there than the population of India.
My inbox is constantly bombarded with offers to either buy a new information product, or get one for free (If you give them your email address, which is wierd, because most of the time, they already have it...).
Sometimes I receive the same offer from many gurus. I hate it when they use the same wording in their "recommendations". For some reason, I think that they probably never even looked at the product and are just shipping the pre-packaged sales letter that came with the product.
Of course that's what they're doing! And it pisses me off! (Plus, it's stupid).
If I'm going to bother trusting someones advice, I need to know that it's really their opinion. If it isn't, then what they're doing is a scam.
By the way, I said it's stupid, because people generally do not buy products from people they do not trust.
Using a pre-packaged sales letter is one of the easiest ways to show you can't be trusted. So, gurus of the world, give us a break: If your recommending a product, take five minutes or so and write something original about the product.
And please, hallowed Gurus, recommend quality products only- not just the ones that will make YOU the most money.
